"Lightness of being" Daphne Valente jewelry exhibition
Daphne Valente has been in the Greek fashion industry for more than 25 years and to celebrate this event, the Tsichritzis Foundation for the Visual Arts honors Valente with a retrospective exhibition from the 15th November till 4th December 2010.
With the «Lightness of Being», as this exhibition is called, Daphne looks to escape from the difficult situation that Greece faces lately by expressing the ephemeral, the weightlessness and movement of jewelry, clothes and objects.
... A band that was taken by the wind, is a source of inspiration for jewelry - sculpture made of silver and gold, whereas industrial materials combined with haute couture create unique jewelry - mobil that exude the innocence of our childhood.
In the retrospective exhibition also participate with their artworks the following artists: Yangos Athanassopoulos, Zeta Adsakli, Nikos Vardakastanis, Katerina Vafia, Lydia Venieri, Marina Vernikou, Juliane Biallas, Vassilis Vrettos, Tassos Vrettos, Mara Desipri, Bill Georgoussis, Katerina Kaloudi, George Kalfamanolis, Vassilis Karydis, Vaggelis Kiris, Dora Minaidi, Ioanna Nikolarizi, Akiss Paraskevopoulos, Stefanos Pashos, Roula Revi, Pavlos Samios, Katerina Tsatsani, Manolis Haros, Harris Hristopoulos.
