The Apartment art gallery in the city of Athens has the honor to host the solo exhibition of Dimitris Dokatzis under the title In Limbο. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Wednesday 13th April from 20.00 until 22.00. The exhibition will end on 21st May 2011.

During Middle Ages, IN LIMBO was originally defined as the place and time where the abode of righteous souls weren't decided yet. LIMBO derived from the Latin 'limbus', meaning edge. Later came to take on the metaphorical meaning - 'in prison', as well as the confusion and the situation at which the individual hovers between the conscience and unconsience. The title of the exhibition, reflects the intermediary situation between present and past, reality and fantasy, conscious and unconsciousness.

The artist pulled out from his personal archive, analog film photographs, taken in the early 80s and created small existential stories where the personal desire crashes into the social acceptable. The way the photographs were re-printed refer to Maurice Tabard and Man Ray. Among the photographs the visitor can find two new sculptures (2011) that dominate the gallery place.
