Irene Olympiou solo exhibition at Technohoros Art Gallery
Irene Olympiou, "Intermediate places", Technohoros Art Gallery, Athens, Greece.
Irene Olympiou presents her artworks for the first time in the Greek art lovers at Technohoros Art Gallery (Athens, Greece) on Monday 1st November 2010 at 20.00 hours. The artist deals with immaterial and moves between space and memory. Her basic theme constitutes of the city and her simple, daily places. Places that connect memories and years since various actions take place in these places either in the present or happened in the past. The fact that these places are repeated, we get some kind of a city report and finally become the elements that build the city's image. The name of the exhibition is "Intermediate places" and its duration is till the 24th November 2010.
Irene Olympiou is a graduate from the Department of Plastic Arts and Art Science of The University of Ioannina. She is currently doing a Master's degree in the same University.
