One Day Without Shoes

In many developing countries, children must walk barefoot for miles to school, clean water and medical help. Hundreds of millions of children are at risk of injury, infection and soil-transmitted diseases, such as podoconiosis, that most cann't afford to prevent and treat.

One Day Without Shoes, marks a global innitiative to raise awareness over this problem and spread the word of changing the lifes of these children. Behind this movement is Blake Mycoskie who founded TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. One for One.

The One Day Without Shoes event in Greece will take place today (5th April 2011) in Athens at Theory Store (2 Patr. Ioakim Street, 10674 Kolonaki)
