Helix Hotel του Abu Dhabi - Abu Dhabi's Helix Hotel
Πρόσφατα έγιναν τα αποκαλυπτήρια των σχεδίων του πέντε αστέρων Helix Hotel που θα χτιστεί στον κόλπο Zayed του Abu Dhabi. Το γραφείο Leeser Architects βρίσκεται πίσω από αυτή την εντυπωσιακή κατασκευή με ένα αίθριο σε σχήμα σπείρας και με μια γυάλινη πισίνα που θα αιωρείται στο κενό. Επίσης το γραφείο Leeser Architects συνεργάζεται με το Atelier Ten σε θέματα βιοκλιματικότητας όπως για τη δημιουργία ενός εσωτερικού καταρράκτη που θα λειτουργεί ως σύστημα ψύξης αλλά και για την εφαρμογή της τεχνικής GROW (νέα προσέγγιση στην παραγωγή αιολικής και ηλιακής ενέργειας) στις εξωτερικές επιφάνειες του κτιρίου.Το Helix Hotel αποτελεί μέρος της νέας παραλιακής ζώνης του Abu Dhabi και θα βρίσκεται πολύ κοντά στη γέφυρα Sheikh Zayed που σχεδίασε η Zaha Hadid (τελευταία φωτογραφία).
Recently the design plans of 5-star Helix Hotel at Abu Dhabi's Zayed Bay have been released. Leeser Architects are behind this impressive structure which will have a spiraling floor plate and also a glass-bottom swimming pool suspended high in the air. Leeser is also working with Atelier Ten on sustainable features like an interior-cooling waterfall and GROW (a new approach to solar and wind power) cladding on the outside surface. The Helix is part of the new waterfront development in Abu Dhabi and is located near the Zaha Hadid's Sheikh Zayed Bridge (last picture).
