Εγκαίνια για το James Bond Museum - James Bond Museum grand opening
Χθες (05 Απριλίου 2009) πραγματοποιήθηκαν τα εγκαίνια του James Bond Museum με τους ήδη πρώτους λάτρεις των ταινιών του πράκτορα 007 να σπεύδουν σε αυτό. Στα εκθέματα του μουσείου θα συγκαταλέγονται οχήματα και εξοπλισμός που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν σε όλες τις ταινίες James Bond.Το μουσείο δημιουργήθηκε σε χώρο που παλαιότερα χρησιμοποιούνταν ως supermarket στο Keswick. Μεταξύ των εκθεμάτων ο επισκέπτης θα βρει την Triumph Stag που οδήγησε ο Sean Connery στο "Diamonds Are Forever", μια Lotus Esprit Turbo από την ταινία "The Spy Who Loved Me" όπως επίσης και ένα Ρώσικο T55 άρμα από την ταινία "GoldenEye" αλλά και το αυθεντικό όπλο Colibri από το "The Man with the Golden Gun".
Ο ιδιοκτήτης του Μουσείου, Peter Nelson είναι συλλέκτης για πολλά χρόνια αναμνηστικών των ταινιών James Bond ενώ ήδη έχει δημιουργήσει ένα μουσείο αυτοκινήτων των διασημοτήτων πάλι στο Keswick όπως μπορείτε να δείτε στο σχετικό website.
Τα εγκαίνια συμπίπτουν με την 100η επέτειο από τη γέννηση του Albert "Cubby" Broccoli, του παραγωγού των αυθεντικών Bond ταινιών.
Yesterday (5th April 2009) the James Bond Museum opened its doors to all the 007 fans. The Bond Museum will feature a host of vehicles and gadgets used in the series of action films. It is located on the site of a former supermarket in Keswick. Among the highlights are a convertible Triumph Stag driven by Sean Connery in "Diamonds Are Forever" a Lotus Esprit Turbo from "The Spy Who Love Me" as well as a Russian T55 battle tank from "GoldenEye" and the original Colibri gun from "The Man with the Golden Gun".
The owner of the museum, Peter Nelson has been collecting Bond memorabilia for years and also runs the Cars of the Stars motor museum in Keswick and you can see a bit of the collection on that website.
The museum's opening on 5 April has been timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the birth of Albert "Cubby" Broccoli, the producer of the original Bond films.
