Lisson Gallery is proud to present a major exhibition of the work of Ai Weiwei. The selection of key works from the past 6 years was planned with the artist before his disappearance on 3rd April 2011. The exhibition which takes place from 13th May until 16th July 2011) will present key sculptures and video projects including his neolithic vases (see above) and marble chair.

Ai Weiwei was detained by authorities in Beijing while trying to board a flight to Hong Kong, and has not been seen or heard since then. Lisson Gallery, along with all his supporters in the UK and around the world, is alarmed by the detention of Ai Weiwei and greatly concerned for his safety.
