Leo Xu Projects, "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" exhibition
Founded by curator and writer Leo Xu in Shanghai, the LEO XU PROJECTS presents the inaugural exhibition Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), opening on September 9th, 4-7pm and running through October 30th, 2011.
Referencing the British duo Eurythmics’ 1983 hit "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", the exhibition portrays dreamscapes and utopias/dystopias, and offers a kaleidoscopic view of the contemporary life, through commissioned works by Liang Yuanwei, Chen Wei, Cheng Ran, Guo Hongwei, Wang Yuyang as well as recent pieces by Liu Wei and Sun Xun. Also on view are the re-staging of two significant pieces by He An and Gabriel Lester.
