"Who’s There" Chair by Daniel Ballou
Industrial designer Daniel Ballou new project is called "Who's There Chair". Being inspirated by movies where jamming a chair under the doorknob can keep a threat away and with that idea seldom working in reality he created this chair to prove that safety and functionality can go with side by side.
The back structure is steel and has leveling feet (like an extension ladder). A notch in the backrest is at the perfect height to interface with a doorknob, and rubber grips on the feet keep it in place.
