Erotic Shelters and other erotic stories
Zoumboulakis galleries present "Erotic Shelters and other erotic stories", a group exhibition with love as the central theme, running from 15th December 2012 through 19th January 2013.
Love "finds its place" in the Zoumboulakis galleries. The artists seek their personally erotic shelters in a timeline where few thing remain permanent. One of them is love. The exhibition prompts the vision to change direction, to seek something more personal and genuine.
In 1972, in an exceptionally difficult economic situation, Manos Hatzidakis releases "Big Erotic" music album. A few years later the artist said that "Big Erotic" was an effort "to recover the dignity and our poetic origin". In his interviews supported that "good art is erotic", while love justified its existence. Pondering the importance of love, the participating artists propose an antidote in the crisis!
