LINEA by Luca Nichetto for OFFECCT
Luca Nichetto did it once again. He combined clear lines, elegance and simplicity and the outcome is the LINEA seating system. This modular seating system stemmed from the need often arising in architectural design to create a seamless succession of seats by designing linear compositions that become sinuous in order to decorate public spaces, create paths in them and define areas.

Nichetto got the inspiration from the protagonist of the animated cartoon” La Linea” (The Line), created by the pen of Osvaldo Cavandoli which is actually a character walking on an infinite line of which it is part.

The Linea modules, designed with two or three seats and decorative intersecting lines sewn on the back rest, may be placed one next to the other or be separated by several shelves that make it possible to bend the path. Both seats and shelves can be used also independently, thus creating a waiting area for two or three with shelves that can be placed next to or in front of the seats.
