"SHAME", collectible lingerie by artists

SHAME_CHRISTINA_MITRENTSE

"SHAME" is called the exhibition that is hosted by THE RESIDENCE gallery and opened its doors to the public on the 4th February 2011. Ten fiery artists exiled from Eden dress you up with their collectible lingerie.

Christina Mitrentse launched her new works - explicit pieces, made to be worn. Mitrentse’s recognizable ‘Emblem’ design has been printed with silver and pink ink on a limited edition unisex lingerie (classic line) that highlights the human body and balances the concepts of death & sexuality, eroticism & religion, holy & undercover surrealism etc. The symbolism of ‘Emblem’ allows for diverse set of meanings and entirely different cultural connotations.

Participating artists: RHOSLYN BUTLER & ALEXANDER HEATON / CHRISTINA MITRENTSE / DANIELLE DRAINEY / INGRID Z / JAMES DAW / JONAS RANSON / LAURA MAY LEWIS / MARK SCOTT-WOOD / ROBERT HAWKINS.

Curator: Ingrid Z & Kiki Claxton

The exhibition ends on the 27th February 2011.
