TITANIUM Yiayiannos Gallery has the pleasure to host an exhibition with Yorgis Vrachnos artworks from June 8th until June 29th 2011.
With his current work, Yorgis Vrachnos, attempts to convey clarity and vividness in color, to drain painting from any residue or suspected demureness. He tries his creations to be familiar, alien, earthy and ultramundane at the same time; to have freshness, volume, light. He paints levels without any object, giving the ornament weight and role. He is not hiding nor looking for anything. He reminds himself and the viewer how much mystery and beauty can be found on the surface of things. His subject is the joy of creation. He is not painting to escape from life; he paints to live life in a better way.
