Modo Brussels and Designed in Brussels present their selection 2011 in a temporarily pop-up store. From September 8th till October 30th the "Brussels Boutikq" will take place in the fashion and design district Dansaert in Brussels. During this period, "Brussels Boutikq" will present pieces of 27 fashion and product designers in the future Brussels Center of Fashion and Design.


On the common initiative of Modo Brussels and Designed in Brussels and with the support of the foreign trade department of the Brussels capital region, Brussels Invest & Export, and Visit Brussels, this project aims to promote the most promising Brussels designers and to reveal Brussels creativity through the creations of these designers. This pop-up store is a reinforcement of Brussels as a cradle of creation.


The "Brussels Boutikq" welcomes not only famous names in fashion such as Sandrina Fasoli, Jessie Lecomte, Annemie Verbeke, Christophe Coppens, Girls From Omsk, Carine Gilson, Walter Lecompte, Le Fabuleux Marcel de Bruxelles and in design such as Hugo Meert, Jean-Francois d'Or, Nathalie Dewez, Raphaël Charles, but also promising talents like Marc-Philippe Coudeyre, Heidewinne, Olivia Hainaut, Piece of Chic, Kim Stumpf, Olivia Hainaut, 2009 winner of the fashion contest Customisez-moi Giuseppe Virgone and young product designers as Antoinette Ribas, Coline Sunier & Charles Mazé, Eléonore Saintagnan & Grégoire Motte, La Villa Hermosa, Nicolas Bovesse, Mathieu Gabiot, Michael Bihain, Maarten de Ceulaer, Pauline Gorelov and Tontons Racleurs which all have been selected by a jury of professionals and journalists in fashion and design.


Since 2008, Brussels Invest & Export has called on Modo Brussels and Designed in Brussels’ knowledge and contacts in the fashion and design world to put together a creative program to encourage Brussels creativity abroad. Within the framework of this international program, Brussels designers get the opportunity to present their work in the major fashion and design hubs such as Paris, Milan, New York, London, Stockholm, Hong Kong, etc.


Before the "Brussels Boutikq" will travel in London for the occasion of the Brussels Day, Modo Brussels and Designed in Brussels take the opportunity to present their selection 2011 to the target public of day 1, the Belgian press and consumers. The "Brussels Boutikq" is part of the official program of Design September 2011 and will close his doors during the yearly Fashion Trail, the fashion event in Brussels.


The "Brussels Boutikq" is under the artistic direction of Linda Vanwaesberge, the shop design is a creation of designer Benoit Deneufbourg. The "Brussels Boutikq" will be open on Thursday,s Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays from 10am – 6pm from September 8th till October 30th 2011. This project is part of the international development plan for Brussels to promote the creative industry in Brussels on an international level and benefit from the support of the Brussels capital region and from the city of Brussels.
