Technohoros Art Gallery presents Sarantis Gagas and Anne Thulin artworks in an exhibition under the title "At the bottom of the time". The two artists coming from a completely different cultural background are getting inspired by Epicurus letter to Herodotus with the former's reference to time.

Sarantis Gagas born in the city of Thessaloniki is an internationally known artist with several solo and group exhibitions in Greece and foreign countries such as Egypt, Switcherland, Germany, The Netherlands, Turkey, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Mexico, Japan, USA (New York), Poland. He has participated in several biennale and art fairs. His artworks can be found in private collections and museums worldwide.

Gagas says about his work: "The final form of an artwork is the result of writing, the procedure is repeated until I get the result I want. What I mainly want from my artwork is an aesthetic proposal, a "new" writing".

Anne Thulin is a Swedish artist, sharing her time between Stockholm and New York. She has participated in several solo and group exhibitions in the US, Italy, The Netherlands, Sweden, Berlin, Germany, Miami and Poland. Her works can be found in private and museum collections. She has been honoured many times in Sweden and New York.

Anne Thulin was inspired initially from the letter of Epicurus to Herodotus, and started searching for texts that Epicurus had written as well as texts referring to him. She was fascinated by Lucretius poetry and especially "De Rerum Natura" where we can find at great length the statements of Epicurus about metaphysics, the materialism individual theory and generally the supremacy of natural phenomena as central interpretation of the operation of world. Thulin focused in atoms theory, their collission and how atoms are diverted.

She writes: "This is the idea that took my attention. The unanticipated deviation of atoms, a small turn and everything changes. During the conflict begins the creation. Conflict of thoughts and ideas, conflict of ideas and materials, conflict of space and time. In my artworks I write the texts of Epicurus in the Greek language and Lucretius in Latin using ink, paper and plexi glass. I mix different materials in various ways. I place Lucretius poem above the texts of Epicurus, the idea that was behind the creation of the poem."
