We are a day before the 68th Venice International Film Festival (Mostra) open its doors and all look very prominent in the eternal city. Once again, the newly renovated Sala Grande will be the epicentre of international film makers and producers, artists, actors and actresses as well as film lovers and they all will be there with an aim as Marco Müller, Director of the 68th, says in his statement, "Our objectives have remained the same: to engage and provoke the public’s intelligence and sensibility with the evidence of images that can fascinate you, make you dream, but also make you think".

35 countries are represented in this year's Mostra, among them, Greece, with oscar-award nominee Yorgos Lanthimos movie Alpis (Alps). As we browsed through the screening schedule we found two very interesting film premieres, David Cronenberg's "A Dangerous Method" and Roman Polanski's "Carnage". Finally, we look forward to reading some reviews for Madonna's directorial debut with the movie W.E. which is out of the competition process.
